Network: Oregon Statewide

Purpose: This is a self-reflection and guidance tool aimed at assisting regional STEM partnerships understand their roles, and offers ways for those partnerships to assess their effectiveness.

Usage: This instrument is being used by 11 STEM Hubs and 13 Regional Achievement Collaboratives (another collective impact initiative in Oregon).

Impacts: This tool is currently being used by Oregon’s STEM Hubs as a self-assessment reflection tool. We are also using it to guide technical supports. Having been co-developed with the field, and the fact that people are actually using it, is indication to us that it is worthwhile. We will be assessing the instrument again in early 2017.

Prior research or grounding: This tool was built upon the work of STRIVE as well as the FSG Collective Impact papers. It was co-developed with regional collective impact partnerships in Oregon to translate the research basis into the language of practitioners in the field.
